My spouse and I have children, and do not own our home or have any assets.

Where there are no assets in common, you still have to determine how you will share the responsibility of raising your child(ren). This includes, but is not limited to, determining child support, time sharing (no longer called custody), travel abroad,  and outlining expenses such as school uniforms and supplies, summer camp, and extracurricular activities, which may or may not be part of the child support obligation.  We strongly recommend a detailed parenting plan, which we draft in accordance to your needs and circumstances.

In the state of Florida, Child Support is the right of the child.  Even if the parents agree, it cannot be waived.  Where the parties to the divorce can agree on the amount of child support based upon the statutory guidelines, the amount set forth by the parties will generally be accepted by the court. As part of our uncontested divorce package, we will help you complete the Child Support Guidelines Worksheet that will be submitted to the court as part of your divorce.  For more details please visit our child support page.

If you and your spouse have no assets in common and need to determine the rights and responsibilities of each regarding the children, please schedule a consultation by clicking  on the “intake form” link below and  filling it out to the best of your ability.  We will contact you within 24 - 48 hours to schedule a personal or phone consultation with one of our attorneys
